Astrology is a practice that dates back to the ancient Sumerians in 3000 BC. Astrology is the reason that our modern practices of mathematics and astronomy exist. For decades astrology has been co-opted by newspapers and teen magazines, but there’s so much more to astrology than your Sun sign and mass-marketed horoscopes!

I view astrology as a map. If you have a destination but you don’t have a map of the route to get there, you’ll (probably) make it there eventually, but you’ll take a lot of wrong turns, encounter unexpected obstacles, and it’ll take you a much longer time and a lot more effort than needed.

However, with a map (your birth chart), you’ll be able to know when to expect obstacles, what themes to pay close attention to, and where in your life you can expect the most changes at a given time. Life is full of challenges, but it’s helpful to have an end date to a hard time - and astrology can do that!
